Wagner's Hardy and Rojas Representing Team Canada in World University Games

Naples, Italy | Staten Island, NY – Recently-graduated Wagner women's water polo standout, Erica Hardy, and incoming freshman, Valeria Rojas, are currently in Naples, Italy representing Team Canada in the World University Games. 
 
 

Hardy, a native of Montreal, Quebec, led the Seahawks with 167 points last season, recording 87 goals on 195 shots and 80 assists and was named an Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Honorable Mention All-American. The 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Year has netted four goals so far for the Canadians.
 
Rojas, an incoming freshman this fall, will be donning the Green and White for the first time in 2019. Coming out of Ottawa, Ontario, she has been an offensive force for Team Canada so far, tallying seven goals and two assists in four games, including a dominant five goal performance against the Czech Republic. 
 
 
The Canadians have secured a place in the quarterfinals, finishing second in their group with a 3-1 record. They will face off against the winner of the Round of 16 matchup between the United States and Czech Republic.

The quarterfinals matchup will be held at 1:30 PM local time tomorrow in Naples.
