EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the championship dates and sites for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

The 2019-20 championship schedule features 19 championships being held at predetermined sites and four championships being held at locations based on seeding. Championship games, matches, races, and events such as awards show banquets and press conferences will be broadcasted live on the ESPN family of networks or MAAC.TV.

The 2020 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship moves to the famous Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the first time in history from March 10 through 14. The event marks MAAC Basketball’s first return to the Garden State since 2003, when both the Manhattan College men and women claimed titles at Trenton’s Sovereign Bank Arena (now CURE Insurance Arena). The Iona College men will be defending a four-year title run, while the Quinnipiac University women defend a three-year run. Tickets for the championship can be purchased at ticketmaster.com, and more information can be found at MAACSports.com/Basketball

The MAAC and Siena College are also set to co-host the 2020 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, March 19 and 21. It will be the first time March Madness returns to Albany since 2003. The MAAC last co-hosted the first and second rounds in 2017 at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center with Canisius College and Niagara University. For more information on NCAA Basketball, visit NCAA.com/MarchMadness.

The 2020 MAAC Baseball Championship returns to the Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island May 20 through May 23. For the third consecutive year, the MAAC Championship visits the home of the Staten Island Yankees - Class A Short Season Affiliate of the New York Yankees. Tickets for the event can be purchased by contacting the Staten Island Yankees box office.

2020 will also mark the first ever MAAC Esports Championship. The two-day event is set for March 13 and 14 in Atlantic City, hosted by Boardwalk Hall and sponsored by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). The addition of an Esports league and championship comes after two years of evaluation and co-sponsorship of events with the ECAC, including the highly successful HV Gamer Con 2019 in Albany, NY.

Tickets for championships requiring admission (excluding basketball, baseball, and indoor track and field) can be purchased by visiting maac.ticketleap.com leading up to the event.
