2019 MAAC Cross Country Season Begins

EDISON, N.J. (August 29, 2019) The 2019 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) cross country season kicks off on Friday, Aug. 30 when Niagara University travels to Canisius College.

Six MAAC institutions are scheduled to compete this opening weekend on Friday, Aug. 30 and Saturday, Aug. 31.

Iona College was named the preseason favorite on both the men’s and women’s side, as voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches. The Gaels start their season on the road on Aug. 31 at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, along with Manhattan College.

Friday, Aug. 30
6:00p.m. – Niagara at Canisius
 
Saturday, Aug. 31
9:00a.m. – Manhattan at Marist
9:00a.m. – Iona at Marist
9:00a.m. – Quinnipiac at Stony Brook

The 2019 MAAC Cross Country Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, hosted by Monmouth University at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, New Jersey.
