Player of the Week
Kaleigh Oates, Quinnipiac
Sr., Downington, PA/Villa Maria Academy
Kaleigh Oates was named to the Knights Fall Classic All-Tournament Team after leading the Bobcats to a 3-0 weekend. The senior tallied 45 kills in three games and had a hitting percentage of .588. She led the team in kills in all three matches for the second straight weekend.
Libero of the Week
Rachelle Runyon, Rider
Sr., Aliso Viejo, CA/Aliso Niguel
Senior libero Rachelle Runyon continued her strong play last week for the Broncs at the Radford Tournament. Runyon averaged 4.57 digs per set and recorded a serve-receive percentage of .966. Runyon had 23 digs in a four-set match against Toledo and she followed that up with 22 digs in a four-set contest versus Fordham. Over the weekend, Runyon moved into 10th-place in program history with over 1,140 career digs. She has registered 20 or more digs in four of the team's eight matches this year.
Rookie of the Week
Morgan Romano, Rider
Fr., Oviedo, FL/Hagerty
Freshman Morgan Romano continued the strong start to her collegiate career for the Broncs last week. The reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week (second of the year) averaged 4.36 kills per set, 1.93 digs per set and 0.64 blocks per set with a .307 hitting percentage. Romano opened the week with a career-high 24 kills to go along with 10 digs and four block assists in a four-set match versus Toledo. The double-double was the second of her career. During the week, she also recorded 14 kills and an impressive .522 hitting percentage in a three-set win over Norfolk State.
