Monmouth’s Gibson and Knaub, Rider’s Rodrigues Collect Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards
Offensive Player of the Week
Madie Gibson, Monmouth

The fifth-year senior scored once and assisted on two other goals as Monmouth routed No. 25 Texas on Sunday afternoon in Austin. Gibson collected her first points of the season in the win. Gibson's two assists gave her 28 for her career, tied for second in Monmouth history, and she now has 84 career points, tying her for 8th in team history. Gibson's 28 career goals are tied for 9th at Monmouth all-time.
Defensive Player of the Week
Amanda Knaub, Monmouth
Sr., Enola, PA/Trinity
Knaub posted consecutive shutouts in Monmouth's two games this week. Knaub made two saves in the double-overtime draw at Drexel, before making four stops in the Hawks' 4-0 win at No. 25 Texas. Knaub currently holds a shutout streak of 306:43 as Monmouth enters conference play. Knaub has four shutouts on the season and 34 for her career. The victory over Texas was Monmouth's first over a Top 25 opponent since 2010.
Rookie of the Week
Makenzie Rodrigues, Rider
Fr., Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge
Rodrigues scored the first three goals of her collegiate career this week, with two in a 6-1 win over Delaware State on Thursday, before scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 tie against Temple on Sunday. She's now tied for the team lead with seven points on the year.
