Rider’s Bourret and Saint Peter’s Alvarado Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Men’s Soccer
Bourret is tied for the team lead with three goals so far this season, including two in the Broncs' 2-0 win over La Salle on Sept. 14. He was named MAAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16 and added a goal in the Broncs' 2-0 win over Saint Joseph's on Sept. 7. Bourret has also excelled in the classroom, posting a 3.88 GPA as a Management & Leadership and Sports Management major. 
 
Alanis Alvarado
Saint Peters University
Women’s Volleyball
Alanis Alvarado led the Peacocks to a MAAC opening road win over Manhattan, the first for the program since 2004. During Alvarado’s week, the sophomore led the team in attack with 35 total kills and 3.18 kills per set, while providing 32 digs and 2.90 digs per set defensively. In two out of the three matches, she was the Saint Peter’s leader in kills, and she posted double digit kills and digs in a pair of games. Alvarado recorded her fifth double-double of the season against Iona on Sunday, while adding three blocks and accounting for 39.0 points on the week.
