Caitlin Lowe Named Interim Director of Women’s Basketball Operations
Edison, N.J. (Jan 14, 2020) – Caitlin Lowe has been appointed Interim Director of Women’s Basketball Operations, the Metro Atlantic Athletics Conference (MAAC) announced today. Lowe most recently served as a Convention Logistics Intern with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in Atlanta, Georgia. Lowe takes the place of Alexis Wayne, who now serves as the Director of Operations and Communications at Daemen College.
“We would like to welcome Caitlin to the MAAC family,” said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “Caitlin’s experiences at the Universities of Miami and Tennessee will allow her to bring some new and exciting viewpoints to the office, and her time at the WBCA has provided her with some of the necessary skills to succeed in her new position as Interim Director of Women’s Basketball Operations with the MAAC.”
In Atlanta, Lowe was responsible for assisting with duties and assignments relevant to the WBCA Convention. This included assigning meeting space for all programming; assisting in coordinating all program logistics with the convention center and hotel, including food and beverage, audio-visual equipment and billing; serving as a liaison to program speakers, and assisting in the coordination of the volunteer schedule.
A native of Alexandra, New Zealand, Lowe graduated from the University of Miami in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a double minor in Sports Administration and Psychology. Lowe was a member of the women’s rowing team while in southern Florida and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team every year with the Hurricanes. This past year, Lowe received her Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Management degree from the University of Tennessee while serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach on the women’s rowing team.
