Sowinski captured wins across singles and doubles in Marist's spring opener against defending Big East champion St. John's on Jan. 25. The junior was victorious in No. 6 singles, taking the match in straight sets. Facing Dylan Loru, Sowinski won the first set 6-4, then outlasted Loru 7-6 (7-5) in the second set. In the third position in doubles, Sowinski teamed up with Jack Sequerth to take down Loru and Giuseppe De Camelis 6-3. This season, Sowinski is tied for the team lead with 11 wins. He has not lost a game in the two dual matches the Red Foxes have played this season.
