USTFCCCA Announces Eight MAAC Fall Scholar All-America Teams and Four MAAC All-Academic Athletes
Edison, N.J. (Jan 31, 2020) – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has selected a total of eight MAAC Schools (eight men’s and eight women’s), based on their 2019 Fall grade point averages (GPA) to represent as Scholar All-America Teams. The USTFCCCA also selected four athletes from Iona College (three men’s and one women’s) to be All-Academic Athletes based on their work in the classroom.
The USTFCCCA also named four All- Academic Athletes, all of which attend Iona College. For the men, Ed Goddard, John Millar, and Jack O’Leary all received the honor while Egle Morenaite was the only woman cross country runner in the MAAC to be awarded as an All- Academic Athlete.
Leading the way for the men is Monmouth University with a team GPA of 3.49. On the Women’s side, Marist College comes in with the top mark with a GPA of 3.52. The rest of the MAAC schools can be seen below while the full list of teams across the NCAA can be seen
