Quinnipiac’s Weigand and Niagara’s Streuer Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
EDISON, N.J. (Nov. 11, 2020) – Quinnipiac University’s Henry Weigand and Niagara University’s Jessica Streuer have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Weigand is currently in his sophomore season at Quinnipiac. He started all 18 games in his first year with the Bobcats in 2019, earning MAAC All-Rookie status for his performance. Weigand finished second on the team in minutes played (1,695). He helped anchor the Bobcats' defensive unit that allowed just 13 goals in 10 MAAC matches, and scored his first career goal on Oct. 23, 2019 against Monmouth. The sophomore defender posted an impressive 3.96 spring 2020 GPA at Quinnipiac.
Jessica Streuer

Women’s Volleyball
Streuer has been a standout for the Purple Eagles as their starting setter. During the 2019 season, she led the team in assists, averaging 8.50 assists per set, which was the sixth-most in the MAAC. She also averaged 1.94 digs per set and had 11 service aces on the season.
Streuer, a biology major, earned a 4.0 grade point average for the spring 2020 semester. She was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
