Matt Herasme
Marist
Men’s Basketball
Junior guard Matt Herasme is an integral part of the Marist men's basketball team's success both on and off the court. A Business Administration major, Herasme was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll last season. In his sophomore year of 2019-20, Herasme raised his scoring average 5.9 points from his freshman year, which was the fourth-highest gain of any player in the conference. He ranked in the conference's top 10 in steals, three-point percentage, three-pointers per game, defensive rebounds per game, and minutes per game.

Throughout his career, Herasme has provided strong intensity on the defensive end of the floor. In a recent Poughkeepsie Journal story, head coach John Dunne said Herasme's "ability to focus on a scouting report and put forth maximum effort to carry out that plan is among the best I've ever seen."

Courtney Warley
Manhattan
Women’s Basketball
Warley has had an outstanding start to the season for Manhattan, averaging 12.2 ppg and a MAAC-best 11.0 rpg. She has notched double-figures on the glass four times, with a pair of double-doubles while also averaging a team-best 2.5 spg while shooting a blistering 81.8 percent from the line.

A Preseason All-MAAC First Team selection, Warley most recently snared a season-best matching 13 rebounds at Big Ten member Rutgers, after previously grabbing 13 with 14 points in a win at Rider. In large part to her play, the Jaspers won their first three MAAC games for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

Warley earned First Team All-MAAC honors a year ago, and has twice been selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
