Offensive Player of the Week
Katie Smolensky, Canisius
So., Rochester, NY/Brighton
A 2019 unanimous selection to the MAAC All-Rookie team, Katie Smolensky led the Griffs attack against No. 4/4 Syracuse on Friday night. The Sophomore finished with two goals and two assists for a total of four points, the most for any MAAC women's lacrosse player on opening weekend.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Maggie Reynolds, Fairfield
Jr., Upper Brookville, NY/St. Anthony’s
Maggie Reynolds anchored the Fairfield defense against Holy Cross with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. The junior defender also took a clear the length of the field before dishing out an assist to chip in on the Stags' attack.
 
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Gambardella, Manhattan
Fr., Bethpage, NY/Plainedge
Gambardella earned the win in her first career start in her collegiate debut for Manhattan. The rookie made eight saves and picked up a ground ball in the Jaspers' 12-11 victory.
