Player of the Week
Lauren Castro, Canisius
R-Sr., Gilroy, CA/Gilroy
Senior Lauren Castro batted .571 this past weekend with three runs, eight hits, five RBIs and four doubles. The Gilroy, California, native had two doubles against Gardner-Webb on Feb. 7.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Sarah Cantley, Canisius
Fr., Louisville, OH/Louisville
Freshman Sarah Cantley served as the winning pitcher in both games against Maryland Eastern Shore and Youngstown State. In her first appearance on the mound for Canisius, the Louisville, Ohio, native threw a combined no-hitter, going four innings and striking out four batters. Cantley threw for a combined 11 strikeouts this past weekend.
 
Rookie of the Week
Teagan Rice, Canisius
Fr., Louisville, OH/Louisville
Freshman Teagan Rice went five-for-nine with a .556 batting average at the plate this past weekend at the Gardner-Webb University Tournament. The Louisville, Ohio, native hit two doubles for the Griffs with one RBI.
