Rider Men and Fairfield Women Lead After Day Two of 2020 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships
Buffalo, N.Y. (Feb. 13, 2020) – At the end of the second day of the 2020 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships, Rider men remain atop the leaderboard with 255.5 points. For the women, Fairfield took the lead this evening with 228 points.

Day 2 Highlights
- The Rider Broncs placed first in the nine total events on Thursday night. Matt Lequang and Kayla May won their individual events in the Men's 500 Freestyle and Women's 200 IM, respectively. Dillon Walles won the 3-Meter Dive, beating the rest of the competition by 62.1.
- Marist's Sidney Judson stayed the course, found her pace, and came from behind to win the Women's 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:59.67.
- Fairfield moved in to first place on the women's side thanks to a first place finish by Maria Nitti in the Women's 50 Freestyle. Shannon Feeley and Sara Ostensen finished in second and third place, respectively, in the Women's 500 Freestyle.
- Bryant's Matthew Mays placed first in the Men's 200 IM with a time of 1:47.49, beating Saint Peter's Luke Cillie by 2 hundredths of a second.
- The Iona women picked up their first win in the 2020 MAAC Championships with a first place finish in the 200 Free Relay, which included Kate Flynn, Katherine Lee, Simone Sturrup, and Alyssa Chain.
- Monmouth's Blake Reynolds finished first in one of most electric races of the night, the Men's 50 Freestyle, with a time of 20.44.
