2020 MAAC Baseball Season Begins
Edison, N.J. (Feb. 14, 2020) – The 2020 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) baseball season begins this weekend with 10 of 11 teams in action.
Quinnipiac University, led by 2020 Preseason All-MAAC selections Colton Bender, Andre Marrero and Ian Ostberg, starts its season on the road at the University of Texas at San Antonio with a full weekend of games. The Bobcats were named the preseason favorite, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. Quinnipiac (30-29, 17-7) won its first MAAC Championship in 2019.
Preseason Player of the Year Nick Cimillo looks to lead Manhattan College to a strong start in the team’s opening weekend in Deland, Florida. The Jaspers, voted third in the preseason, will take on Air Force twice and Stetson once.
The regular season concludes with the 2020 MAAC Baseball Championship from May 20 to May 23 at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island.
