Offensive Player of the Week
Nicole Ceraso, Monmouth
Sr., Massapequa, NY/Plainedge
Ceraso, a senior captain, picked up where she left off last season tallying seven points in Monmouth's first game of the year, a win over Sacred Heart. From her attack position she recorded a hat trick and assisted on four other goals. She recorded four of her points in the first half as the Hawks built a 7-2 lead. Ceraso was 2-for-2 on free position goals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Elyse Darcy, Iona
Jr., Norwalk, CT/Academy of Our Lady of Mercy Lauralton Hall
Elyse Darcy played all 60 minutes this week against New Hampshire, facing 30 shots while making 14 saves and allowing eight goals. It was her first collegiate win and the first win for the Gaels this season.
Rookie of the Week
Desiree Kleberg, Quinnipiac
Fr., Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman
The first-year midfielder scored a hat trick in her first career game at Bryant. Kleberg earned three free position opportunities, converting one. She also picked up two ground balls in the Bobcats season opener. Kleberg then added an assist against Wagner on Saturday afternoon.
