Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Jamison Embury, Marist
So., Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown
Embury led the Marist attack to a massive program win, upsetting #9/7 Army for the biggest upset in the history of the program. In the game, he had a career-high seven points, scoring four goals and chipping in three assists. He was part of an offense that scored an impressive 17 goals against one of the top defenses in the nation.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Luke Hanson, Manhattan
Sr., Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley
Hanson handed out a MAAC-record matching nine assists with a goal in leading Manhattan to a 16-5 win over Wagner. The Senior assisted on the Jaspers' second goal of the game, and three of their five second quarter scores. Hanson continued his assault on the record books after halftime, assisting on five of the Jaspers' eight goals, while also finding the back of the net. He also added two ground balls.
Defensive Player of the Week
JT Roselle, Marist
So., Cold Springs Harbor, NY/Cold Springs Harbor
Roselle totaled a career-high five caused turnovers, helping the Marist Defense quell one of the best teams in the nation, #9/7 Army. He was a big part in holding Army scoreless for just about 30 minutes of game time, and a big reason why Army was held 8 goals under its 17 goals per game average. He also scooped up four ground balls, and even scored a goal and dished out an assist.
Rookie of the Week
Kurt Wessner, Marist
Fr., Pineville, PA/La Salle College High School
Wessner amassed a career-high three ground balls, and was excellent in his individual assignment, helping the Marist Defense quell one of the best teams in the nation, #9/7 Army. He was a big part in holding Army scoreless for just about 30 minutes of game time, and a big reason why Army was held 8 goals under its 17 goals per game average.
