Pitcher of the Week
Kyle Warner, Canisius
Sr., Springville, NY/Springville Griffith
Kyle Warner had a dominant start for Canisius on Friday at Winthrop, tossing seven shutout innings for the Griffs. The seven innings pitched was a career-high for the senior lefty, as well as his seven strikeouts. The Springville, New York native also only allowed four hits and did not surrender a single walk to the Eagles in his second career start.
Player of the Week
Robbie Armitage, Marist
Jr., Falmouth, ME/Falmouth
Robbie Armitage went 3-for-9 in three games at George Washington with a homer, a double, five RBIs and a stolen base. He was walked five times throughout the weekend and ended with a slash line of .333/.533/.778.
Rookie of the Week
Zach Cameron, Niagara
Fr., Hamilton, ON/Bishop Ryan
Cameron made two appearances in relief against NC Central. In game one of a doubleheader, Cameron tossed 3.0 no-hit innings. He fanned seven and walked just one. In Niagara's 9-6 win over the Eagles on Sunday, Cameron struck out one while allowing zero hits or walks. He finished the weekend with eight strikeouts and a perfect 0.00 ERA.
