White Plains, NY - Manhattan women's basketball's Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) picked up her second player of the week honor Tuesday, earning the nod as the region's best Division I player from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. On Monday, the junior center was also named the MAAC Player of the Week.

Warley is the first Manhattan women's basketball player to win the Met weekly award since its inception in 2004.

Warley earned two-straight 20-point games in two wins for the Jaspers this past week, including a career-high 23 points against Canisius on February 20. In that game, she added 12 rebounds, including 10 on the defensive glass, for her sixth double-double of the season. Warley scored 17 of her points in the first half, including all 11 of Manhattan's points in the second-quarter of the seven-point victory. She also went 9-9 from the free throw line.

Two days later, Warley scored 21 points on 83.3 percent shooting as Manhattan defeated Niagara to sweep the team's annual trek to Western New York. For the week, Warley shot nearly 71 percent, while adding 9.0 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.5 steals per game, with a 1.2 assist/turnover ratio.

Warley is currently 10th on the program's all-time rebounding list with 654 career rebounds. She has also reached eighth on the team's single-season defensive rebounds list (165) and is one of just five Manhattan players to reach 100 career blocks. Last week, she earned Met Honorable Mention after recording a career-high (and MAAC season-best) 19 rebounds against Rider on February 15.

Manhattan will next play on Saturday, February 29, hosting Fairfield at 2:00 pm for Senior Day.
