Estrada, Vaughn Collect Pepsi Zero MAAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards
Player of the Week
Dimencio Vaughn, Rider

Vaughn averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, while shooting 76.2 percent (16-21) from the floor and 66.7 percent (4-6) from beyond the arc in the Broncs' 1-1 weekend. He began the week with 15 points and seven rebounds, shooting 6-of-10 in a 68-52 win over Fairfield on Friday. He then scored a season-high 28 points on 10-of-11 shooting (3-of-4 3-pt FG), while making four steals in defeat at Monmouth. For the season, he's now averaging a team-high 14.3 points per game, while shooting 45.0 percent (27-60) from long range. In league play, he's averaging 15.9 points per game, while shooting 50 percent (60-120) from the floor and 54.1 percent (20-37) from long range.
Rookie of the Week
Aaron Estrada, Saint Peter’s

Saint Peter’s freshman guard Aaron Estrada led the Peacocks in scoring and assists during a perfect 3-0 week. Estrada averaged a team-leading 11.3 points, dished out a team-best 2.0 assists per game and connected on 20-of-22 free throws. He also grabbed 1.7 rebounds per outing in the three games. Estrada led Saint Peter’s in points and assists in two out of the three contests, posting team-highs of 11 points and two dimes versus first-place Monmouth on Wednesday and team-highs of 17 points and three helpers against Siena on Sunday. He set career-highs at the charity stripe twice this week, making 7-of-8 in the Monmouth game, before hitting 9-of-10 in the Siena game.
