Player of the Week
Amari Johnson, Rider

Senior Amari Johnson had a monster week for the Broncs as Rider racked up three home wins. Johnson averaged 17 points, over 12 rebounds, over two steals and nearly two blocks per game as Rider defeated Fairfield, Manhattan and Monmouth. Amari recorded three double-doubles. On the year, she has a MAAC-leading 13 double-doubles. In a win over Fairfield, Johnson had 16 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. She followed that up with 24 points and 16 rebounds against the Jaspers. She ended the week with 11 points, 11 rebounds and four steals versus the Hawks. Amari is the only player in the MAAC averaging a double-double this season.
Rookie of the Week
Emily LaPointe, Manhattan
Fr., Staten Island, NY/Staten Island Academy
LaPointe led the Jaspers with 18 points over two games this past week, adding 6.5 rebounds and two assists per game. In a come-from-behind win over Saint Peter's on Feb. 1, she finished with a game-high 23, just a bucket off her career-high, after scoring 13 in the second half to help the Jaspers erase a 16-point deficit. LaPointe earned a steal and a bucket, as well as the game-tying three-pointer, while going 6-6 from the foul line down the stretch. She doled out four assists and added five rebounds, a steal and a block to her stat line in the game. At Rider on Jan. 30, LaPointe again scored in double-figures (13), while pulling down a team-high eight rebounds.
