Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Jonathan DeSouza, Iona College
So., Brampton, Ontario/ Marguerite D'Youville
Jonathan DeSouza won the 3,000-meter at the Metropolitan Championships hosted at Ocean Breeze with a time of 8:24.73. His time is the fifth fastest in the MAAC this season and was his fastest in the event this season.
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Meghan Curtin, Quinnipiac University
Sr., Cohocton, NY/Wayland-Cohocton
At the New England Championships, senior Meghan Curtin tallied a time of 2:13.79 in the 800 meter finals, which was good for fifth place overall and a personal-best time. Her time of 2:13.79 is now the top time in the MAAC in the 800 meter event.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Anu Awonusi, Manhattan College
Jr., Dublin, Ireland/Kilkenny College
Awonusi won the men's shot put at the 2020 Metropolitan Championships, regaining the title after earning the Metropolitan Indoor Championship in 2018. Awonusi hit a season-best distance of 16.99 meters, the MAAC's top performance of the year. Awonusi also set a PR in the men's weight throw at the meet with a distance of 14.41 meters.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Alexandra Preckajlo, Manhattan College
Jr., Ocean, NJ/St. Rose
Preckajlo earned a top-five finish in the women's shot put at the 2020 Metropolitan Championships, throwing a distance of 13.87 meters, her collegiate PR. The distance now stands as the MAAC's best shot put performance of the season. She also earned a second-place finish in the women's weight throw, getting another PR of 16.69 meters, ranking fourth in the MAAC.
