MAAC Announces Weekly Swimming & Diving Awards

Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Evan Fair, Fairfield
So., Centurion, South Africa
Fair tallied three individual first place finishes in the Stags win over Manhattan. Fair came in first in the 200 SC Meter Butterfly clocking in at 2:07.44. Fair also won the 200 SC Meter Backstroke with a final time of 2:08.56. Fair finished first in the 200 SC Meter Individual Medley as well at 2:09.63. He was also part of the 200 SC Meter Medley Relay team that finished second at 1:49.09.
 
Men’s Diver of the Week
Samuel Tonole, Fairfield
Fr., Lunenberg, MA
Tonole won the 1 Meter Diving with a final score of 224.24 and finished second in the 3 Meter Diving at 222.23 in the Stags win over Manhattan.
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Hannah Charlton, Niagara
Sr., Oakdale, PA/ West Allegheny
In a dual meet with St. Bonaventure, Charlton won the 100 fly with a time of 58.97. She was part of the 200-medley relay team that placed second with a time of 1:52.97 and part of the 200 free relay team that placed second with a time of 1:42.92.
 
Women’s Diver of the Week
Lydia DeLano, Siena
Fr., Burnt Hills, NY/ Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake
Lydia placed first in three of four possible diving events this weekend, winning the one and three-meter events at home against Saint Francis (PA) on Saturday and winning the three-meter event against Howard in Newark, NJ on Sunday. DeLano career-best marks of 236.75 in the one-meter and 278.0 in the three-meter, respectively in Saturday's meet.
