Player of the Week
Stella Johnson, Rider
Sr., Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic
Senior guard Stella Johnson capped the regular season with a pair of monster performances as Rider clinched the top seed in the 2020 Hercules Tires MAAC Women’s Basketball Championship for the first time in program history. Stella averaged 27 points, over seven rebounds, more than three assists and five steals per game as the Broncs defeated Saint Peter's and Monmouth. In a win over the Peacocks, she scored 31 points to go along with 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists. It was her eighth double-double of the year, with all eight having come in conference play. She ended the regular season with 23 points, four steals and two blocks in a win at Monmouth.
 
Rookie of the Week
Emily LaPointe, Manhattan
Fr., Staten Island, NY/Staten Island Academy
LaPointe led Manhattan this week with 15.0 points per game on .450 shooting, including a team-high (tied) 17 in the Jaspers' second-half comeback against Monmouth in the team's regular season finale on March 5. She added a game-high four assists (tied) for the Jasper offense, as well. In the Jaspers' win over Iona on March 2, LaPointe finished with a team-high 13 points, scoring all of her offense in the second half after being plagued by foul trouble in the first. She went 4-8 from the floor and 4-5 from the free throw line, helping the Jaspers widen the difference between them and the Gaels after being up just one at halftime. LaPointe averaged 5.5 rebounds per game this week, as well as 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
