New York (April 21, 2020) – Four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball players have been named to 2019-20 All-Met Teams, presented by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. All-Met awards are given out yearly to the best college basketball players in the Metropolitan area.

Iona College’s E.J. Crawford represents the MAAC on the All-Met First Team. Monmouth University’s Deion Hammond and Rider University’s Dimencio Vaughn garnered All-Met Second Team honors. KC Ndefo of Saint Peter’s University was named an All-Met Third Team selection.

Crawford returns to the All-Met First Team after also receiving the honor a year prior. The senior was a unanimous selection to the All-MAAC first team and led the league in scoring during the regular season. Crawford finished his career at Iona with three MAAC Championships to his name.

All-Met Second Team selections Deion Hammond and Dimencio Vaughn were also named to the All-MAAC First Team last month, with Vaughn being a unanimous selection from the league’s 11 head coaches. Hammond sat third in the MAAC in scoring at the conclusion of the regular season, averaging 16.3 points. Vaughn led Rider in scoring (14.8) and steals (1.8) this season, guiding the Broncs to the No. 3 seed in the Hercules Tires 2020 MAAC Men’s Basketball Championship.

Ndefo was a Third Team All-MAAC selection and was also named both Defensive Player and Sixth Player of the Year after leading the Peacocks in points per game (8.5), blocks (2.4) and steals (1.5) throughout the regular season.
