Ten from MAAC Water Polo Named ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American
Bridgeport, PA (April 27, 2020) – Ten Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Water Polo student-athletes were named Honorable Mention All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). The ACWPC All-America teams are selected based on nominations and voting by varsity head coaches.
Marist College led the way for the MAAC with three honorable mentions, including Anais Mathes, Justine Castro and Carsen Horvatich. Wagner College had two selections with Sofia Diaz Alvarez and Jacqui Sjogren. Jordin Hale and Jordan Van Reeken from Iona College also received the accolade for the Gaels.
La Salle University’s Sarah DeFusco, Virginia Military Institute’s Isabel French and Siena’s Diana Fernandez rounded out the honorable mentions for the MAAC.
