Quinnipiac’s Vulgamore and Rider’s Hunter Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
Evan Vulgamore
Quinnipiac University
Baseball
A four-year member of the Quinnipiac baseball team, Vulgamore was on pace for yet another impressive season before the 2020 season was cut short. He led the team with a .277 batting average, .414 on-base percentage, had 13 hits, three home runs, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. Vulgamore also walked four times and was hit by a pitch seven times. He ended the season on a four-game hitting streak and hit safely in 10 of the 14 games in the season. In his career, he is a two-time selection to the MAAC All-Academic team and will graduate with a degree in finance.

Women’s Track & Field
Hunter’s gold-medal-winning shot put (14.12m) at the MAAC Indoor Championships clinched the Broncs’ first MAAC title in 13 years. She’s also achieved in the classroom with a 3.94 GPA while pursuing her masters in Athletic Leadership.
