CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Siena Women's Golf saw three student-athletes honored as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the 2019-20 season, the organization announced Monday morning. Recent Siena graduate Marisa Fiorina took home the award for the fourth straight season, while rising junior Abigail Chai-Onn earned her third straight WGCA All-American Scholar award and rising freshman Isabella Diaz took home the honor for the first time.
The team's lone captain and graduating member for this past season, Fiorina becomes the seventh Saint in program history to earn the award in each of her four seasons on the team. A native of Oakland, New Jersey, she recently earned her bachelor's degree in marketing while holding a 3.7 cumulative GPA. A three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and four-time MAAC Academic Honor Roll recipient, Fiorina held a 3.92 mark for the Spring 2020 semester, earning a spot on Siena's President's list.
A product of Miami Gardens, Florida, Chai-Onn holds a 3.77 cumulative GPA entering her senior year as an english major and took home a 3.88 mark for the Spring 2020 term. A member of both the MAAC All-Academic Team & MAAC Academic Honor Roll this season, she was recently named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar for the second straight year as well.
Diaz hails from nearby Ballston Spa, NY, and was a member of the MAAC Academic Honor Roll this season. An applied physics major with a 3.51 cumulative GPA, she took home a 3.7 mark for the Spring 2020 term.
