Colorado Springs, CO - Siena Swimming & Diving was honored for its work in the classroom by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA), the organization announced Tuesday morning. The Saints were one of 17 programs within the MAAC and 461 nationally that were honored as Scholar All-American Teams for the Spring 2020 semester, doing so for the 16th consecutive term.
With a 3.36 cumulative GPA for the Spring 2020 semester, Siena has now earned All-America honors every semester dating back to the Fall of 2011. The team currently holds a 3.41 cumulative GPA as well. Overall, 15 swimmers maintained a 3.0 or higher GPA during the Spring 2020 semester, with three earning a spot in Siena's 4.0 Club for posting a perfect mark. The Saints boasted nine swimmers on the 2020 MAAC All-Academic Team earlier this year.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
