EDISON, NJ (Jan. 11, 2021) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today its partnership with TaskHuman, a Silicon Valley based company on a mission to make self-care and personal wellness revolutionarily accessible and affordable to anyone with a smartphone or tablet.
TaskHuman will be recognized as the official wellness platform of the MAAC and will be available for use by all of the conference’s student-athletes and athletic staff.

TaskHuman empowers students and staff to be their “well-thiest” selves, on and off campus, by connecting them 1-on-1 via video call, audio call or chat sessions with live curated wellness professionals globally. Student-athletes will be able to receive instant support on all areas of wellness and self-care that matter to them, including physical fitness, mental wellbeing, emotional and spiritual wellness, academic support, professional development, financial wellness, and more – at the time and place that works best for them.

MAAC student-athletes and athletic staff will have access to TaskHuman’s entire network of vetted wellness professionals, covering hundreds of wellness topics. The platform provides instant, 24/7 real time provider availability, and also allows users to schedule sessions in advance for a time that works for them.

Each MAAC athletic department can also utilize the TaskHuman platform to seamlessly and effortlessly connect their faculty, staff and internal departmental resources to student athletes for a unique 1-on-1 connection via the app’s built in video call, audio call and chat functionality.

“The MAAC is pleased to work on MAAC SAAC initiatives aimed to improve student-athlete access to needed information and services as they balance the demands of competing in their chosen sports and meeting their academic goals,” said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “I am particularly pleased to work with the TaskHuman team and applaud their commitment to servicing the needs of student-athletes is important in the ever-changing intercollegiate athletic environment.”

“TaskHuman is proud to partner with the MAAC, and equally committed to Commissioner Rich Ensor’s vision to provide for the wellness of the member institution student-athletes and athletics staff,” said TaskHuman Co-Founder & CEO Ravi Swaminathan. “In addition, we’re excited that the TaskHuman platform will also provide the MAAC schools the power for staff to maintain ‘virtual’ office hours enabling students to reach them on-demand.”

The TaskHuman platform will be available for MAAC student-athletes as early as this week. For more information on TaskHuman, contact Kerry Keating at kerry@taskhuman.com.
