Saints Sweep Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week
Manny Camper, Siena
Sr., Chestertown, MD/Kent County
Senior captain Manny Camper averaged a double-double with 13.3 points and 10.3 rebounds, while adding 5.3 assists to lead the Saints to a perfect 3-0 week. Camper posted double-doubles in two of Siena's three games, and dished out five or more assists in all three games. He also added 1.7 steals per contest. Camper capped his stellar week with a 17-point, 12-rebound, six-assist performance as the Saints completed the road sweep of Fairfield to extend the nation's third longest active winning streak to 14-straight.
 
Rookie of the Week
Aidan Carpenter, Siena
Fr., Hamden, CT/Lee Academy (ME)
Freshman guard Aidan Carpenter burst onto the scene in his first two collegiate appearances last weekend, averaging 13.0 points while shooting 59% from the field in a road sweep of Fairfield. After scoring seven points off the bench in his collegiate debut Saturday, Carpenter went off while making his first collegiate start in place of the injured MAAC Preseason Player of the Year Jalen Pickett Sunday. Carpenter scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the second half and shot 8-11 from the field overall to help the Saints extend the nation's third longest active winning streak to 14-straight. Carpenter also played turnover free basketball in more than 36 minutes Sunday, while serving as the team's primary ball handler.
