Thornton was a force in the Peacocks' weekend series at Rider, averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game against the Broncs. The redshirt-senior had a career showing in Saint Peter's 59-50 victory on Sunday, tying her career-high of 30 points while contributing five rebounds and four assists on the day. Additionally, Thornton scored her 1,000th career point during Saturday's contest, dropping 17 points in the process while shooting 53.8 percent from the field.
Rookie of the Week
Raphaela Toussaint, Rider
Fr., Kingston, Ontario/Lincoln Prep
Toussaint averaged 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 52.4 percent (11-21) from the floor in the Broncs' split with Saint Peter's. In a comeback victory from down 14 points on Saturday, Toussaint posted her second-straight double-double, her third of the year, with a career-high 19 points to go along with 11 rebounds. She made 7-of-14 attempts from the floor and grabbed eight of her 11 rebounds on the offensive glass. She just missed another double-double on Sunday, when she finished with eight points and 10 rebounds, hitting 4-of-7 shots. For the season, she's now averaging 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
