Quinnipiac’s Rigoni and Niagara’s Parker Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
EDISON, N.J. (Jan. 27, 2021) – Quinnipiac University’s Jacob Rigoni and Niagara University’s Angel Parker have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Rigoni reached 1,000 career points on Jan. 23 vs. Niagara, becoming the 43
rd player in Quinnipiac program history to reach the milestone. The senior from Adelaide, Australia leads the Bobcats in both scoring (11.0 PPG) and rebounding (6.6 RPG) so far this season, knocking down 19 three-point field goals in 10 games. He played in his 100th career game at Quinnipiac on Jan. 9 against Manhattan, and has now started in 75 consecutive games for Head Coach Baker Dunleavy.

Women’s Basketball
Parker has had a strong season for the Purple Eagles so far. She leads the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.8 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game. Parker had her best outing of the season so far against Iona on Jan. 2. She narrowly missed a triple-double, recording a career-high 26 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.
Parker, a native of Cheektowaga, New York, is working towards a degree in psychology.
