KJ Johnson was dominant on the outside in a 3-0 week for the Stags. The junior hit .417 with 40 kills and only five errors on her 84 swings in the straight-set victories over Siena, Manhattan and Iona. In addition to her 4.44 kills per frame, Johnson was solid in the back row with 2.33 digs per set. She also had a hand in nine blocks and landed three service aces to up her average to 5.28 points per stanza.
Libero of the Week
Amanda Darling, Niagara
So., Oswego, IL, Oswego High School
Darling averaged 6.57 digs per set as the Purple Eagles went 2-0 on the weekend. Against Rider, Darling had 24 digs, six assists and one ace. Versus Saint Peter's, she recorded 22 digs, eight assists and three aces.
Rookie of the Week
Mikayla Haut, Fairfield
Fr., Monroe, MI, St. Mary’s Catholic Central
Haut played on the outside in eight sets in the Stags' 3-0 week. She averaged 2.88 kills per frame on .203 hitting from the pins and filled out her statline with four digs, four blocks and one assist.
