Iona’s Nicholson and Siena’s Delano Earn Women’s Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards

Women’s Swimmer of the Week:
Isabella Nicholson, Iona
Jr., Staten Island, NY, Tottenville
 
Nicholson was part of the quartet that sealed Iona's victory in the last event over St. Francis posting a time of 3:41.00. The junior also picked up two more wins in the 100 and 200-Free at 53.27 and 1:56.37.
 
The following day in a double-dual meet against Sacred Heart and Wagner, Nicholson took the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:55.42 earning a gold medal.
 
Women’s Diver of the Week:
Lydia Delano, Siena
Jr., Burnt Hills, NY, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake
 
Delano turned in the top scored in both diving events Saturday, scoring 258.7 in the 1-meter diving and 275.65 in the 3-meter, with the latter just three points off her collegiate best.
