Niagara’s Bough and Rider’s Gatinois Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

EDISON, NJ (November 10, 2021) – Niagara’s Emma Bough and Rider’s Pablo Gatinois have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Gatinois has been a four-year starter as the Broncs’ goalkeeper. Last time out in the MAAC Quarterfinals at Siena, Gatinois posted his program-record 16th career shutout, passing Chip Maruca's record that stood for 19 years. He’s earned 23 wins in his four years across 47 starts, posting a .734 saves percentage and a 1.12 goals-against average. He’s also achieved in the classroom, three times earning MAAC All-Academic Team honors. He’s already graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration currently pursuing his MBA with a 3.51 GPA.

Emma Bough was a major contributor both on and off the pitch this season for Niagara women's soccer. The sophomore registered two goals and eight assists on the season, including the game-winner against Canisius on Oct. 20. One of her best performances of the year came against Little Three Rival St. Bonaventure on Sept. 12. The Chenango Forks, NY native collected two helpers to help the Purple Eagles trounce the Bonnies in overtime. Off the pitch, Bough was a MAAC All-Academic selection and sported a 3.54 GPA.
