The Iona College men's basketball team improved to 2-0 to start to the 2021-22 season after earning a thrilling 90-87 overtime win over Harvard in non-conference action at the Hynes Center on Saturday. Sophomore forward Nelly Junior Joseph scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Gaels. The scoring margin on either side for final 35 minutes of the contest was within two possessions in a game that saw 10 tie scores and 11 lead changes.

George Papas scored 22 points and Marcus McClary added a career-best 16 points leading Monmouth University men's basketball to the first win of the season Saturday night at Towson University, 79-71. The Hawks never trailed in the game, leading for 39:34. Monmouth used a hot start, opening with the first 17 points of the contest.

Colonial Athletic Association preseason favorite Delaware scored 22 unanswered points down the stretch to spoil Siena Basketball's home-opener 83-63 in front of a Homecoming crowd of 5,842 at the Times Union Center. Colby Rogers scored a game-high 20 points, connecting on 6-7 three-point attempts for the Saints who saw their 14-game Times Union Center win streak snapped.
