Rider’s Sher, Iona’s Matschner and Niagara’s Imbuzeiro Earn Molten MAAC Volleyball Weekly Awards

Anilee Sher, Rider

Sher had a pair of double-doubles in the Broncs' 2-0 weekend, recording double-digit assists and digs in both matches. In the win over Niagara, Sher set a program-record with 68 assists, the third most of any athlete in a match in the country this year.
 
Libero of the Week
Hope Matschner, Iona

Matschner played a major role in both victories for Iona over the weekend. On Friday Nov 12th, the sophomore recorded her career-high 34 digs along with four assist in the Gaels five-set victory over Fairfield. She followed that performance by recording a match-high 33 digs and was perfect on 26 service receptions in Iona's comeback win over Quinnipiac on Sunday, Nov 14th.
 
Rookie of the Week
Laryssa Imbuzeiro, Niagara
Fr., Northville, MI
 
Imbuzeiro had a strong week for NU as the team went 2-1. Against Canisius, she had three aces, six kills and two blocks. At Saint Peter's, she had two aces and three total blocks. At Rider, she recorded a career-high nine total blocks and also added three kills and an ace. She averaged 1.17 blocks per set on the week.
