Niagara’s Redl, Fairfield’s Via, Montgomery Earn Molten MAAC Volleyball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week
Mary Redl, Niagara

Redl had a phenomenal weekend, recording back-to-back double-doubles. In a win over Iona, Redl had 17 kills and a career-high 20 digs. In Niagara's victory over Manhattan, she had 13 kills and 10 digs, while also adding an ace and two total blocks. On the weekend, she averaged 5.00 kills per set and 5.00 digs per set.
 
Libero of the Week
Georgia Via, Fairfield
So., McKinney, TX, Frisco Independence
 
Georgia Via led all players with 17 digs in Fairfield's four-set win at Quinnipiac on Saturday. Her defensive showing helped limit the Bobcats to a .103 hitting percentage. Via also contributed to the Stags' scoring efforts with a service ace and six assists.
 
Rookie of the Week
Blakely Montgomery, Fairfield
Fr., League City, TX, Clear Falls
 
Blakely Montgomery ran the Fairfield attack to a .245 hitting percentage in Saturday's 3-1 win at Quinnipiac. She doled out 42 assists and dumped over four kills of her own (.308). Montgomery also notched 11 digs from the setter spot to round out her second career double-double.
