Manhattan’s Warley, Niagara’s Parker Earn Hercules Tires Women’s MAAC Basketball Weekly Awards

Courtney Warley averaged 15.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg and 2.0 spg over two games at the MAAC/ASUN Challenge. Began her big week with 11 points and 14 rebounds against FGCU. She followed that up with 20 points, highlighted by scoring her 1,000th career point, while pulling down nine rebounds with three steals in a hard-fought loss to Stetson. Warley is averaging 12.3 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.5 spg.
 
Rookie of the Week
Aaliyah Parker, Niagara
Fr., Cheektowaga, NY, Cardinal O’Hara High School
 
Parker led Niagara to a win over Colgate last Wednesday with her second double-double of her young career. The freshman scored a season-high 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Parker finished 6-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-3 from 3-point land.
