EDISON, NJ (Nov. 23, 2021) – Both Canisius and Siena got in the win column on Monday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball play. The Griffs toppled Fredonia at the Koessler Athletic Center and Siena edged Harvard of the Ivy League in Albany.

Six Canisius players scored in double-figures, led by senior Malek Green, who scored a game-high 18 points, as Canisius cruised past Fredonia 106-40 on Monday night in non-conference action. The 66-point victory for Canisius set a new program record for largest margin of victory in a game, surpassing the previous record of 62 points, set Dec. 21, 1949 and the team tied a program record at the Koessler Athletic Center with 16 made 3-pointers.

Siena men’s basketball defeated perennial Ivy League power Harvard 72-69 at the Times Union Center on Monday night. Nick Hopkins tied a Siena career-high with 16 points on 6-7 shooting including 4-5 from three and Colby Rogers added 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Saints to their first victory of the season.
