Canisius gave up just two Detroit Mercy field goals on 17 attempts in the final quarter, allowing the Golden Griffins to come away with a 64-55 victory Tuesday evening in non-conference women's basketball action at the Koessler Athletic Center. Sophomore guard Dani Haskell scored a game-high 24 points for Canisius (2-3), while freshman guard Cheyenne Stubbs nearly doubled her season output in points with a 13-point effort. Senior guard Erika Joseph chipped in with 12 points, 10 of which came in the second half.

The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team was hitting on all cylinders Tuesday night as they tied a season-high with 76 points and shot 50 percent from the field, cruising to a 76-52 victory at Navy. The impressive offensive showing was highlighted by career-high performances by Lou Lopez-Senechal and Sydney Lowery as the duo scored 29 and 20 points, respectively.

The Iona College women's basketball team was defeated, 55-48, by Bucknell on Tuesday evening at the Hynes Center. Juana Camilion, Isabelle Lipinski and Olivia Vezaldenos all finished in double-figures offensively for the Gaels in the loss.

The Siena Saints fell in their final road contest before their home opener on Tuesday afternoon, as they were defeated by the New Hampshire Wildcats by a final score of 59-45. The Saints struggled, shooting just over 32 percent from the field. Fifth year Rayshel Brown had a standout performance, scoring 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting on the afternoon and added a team-high eight rebounds.
