Fairfield to Play UCLA in Opening Round of 2021 NCAA Volleyball Tournament

EDISON, NJ (November 28, 2021) – The 2021 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball Champion, Fairfield University (24-8, 16-2 MAAC) is headed to Los Angeles, CA to take on No. 13 UCLA (23-5, 16-4 PAC-12) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on December 3.
 
The matchup will be held at the Pauley Pavilion on the campus of UCLA and the network and time of the match are to be determined.
 
The Stags are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th time in program history and fifth time in seven years. 2021 MAAC Coach of the Year Todd Kress heads into the NCAA postseason for the fifth time as the Stags head coach and he brings an experienced squad with him.
 
This will be UCLA’s 38th trip to the NCAA Tournament after taking down 2020-21 MAAC Champion Rider last postseason. 
 
The winner of the Fairfield/UCLA matchup will take on the winner of Pepperdine/UCF in the Second Round of the tournament.
