EDISON, NJ (Nov. 30, 2021) – Niagara scored Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball’s lone win on Monday night to tip off the week, ending Colgate’s 16-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents.

Niagara men’s basketball picked up a 70-59 victory over Colgate on Monday night. The Purple Eagles, who maintained the lead for the entire game, snapped the Raiders' 16-game winning streak, dating back to 2016, at Cotterell Court against non-conference opponents. Senior guard Marcus Hammond surpassed 1,000 career points in win and led the Purple Eagles with 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists, setting season-highs in both rebounds and assists. Jordan Cintron added a season-high 18 points and Greg Kuakumensah added 10 points for the Purple Eagles.

Cornell defeated Canisius men’s basketbnall 89-75 in non-conference action Monday night at the Koessler Athletic Center. Griffs senior Malek Green led all scorers with his 19 points, and he also grabbed seven boards. Scott Hitchon ended the night with 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot and senior Jordan Henderson chipped in 10 points and two assists.
