Fairfield’s Johnson, Haut and Canisius’ Long Earn Molten MAAC Volleyball Weekly Awards

KJ Johnson led the Stags attack in both ends of a 2-0 weekend. She averaged 5.50 kills and 6.58 points per set in the sweeps of Siena and Marist, hitting .386 on 70 swings from the pins. Johnson added 14 digs for a double-double against the Saints, finishing with 3.00 digs per set on the week. She filled out her stat line with four aces, five blocks and two assists in her six sets of action.
 
Libero of the Week
Bree Long, Canisius
Jr., Temperance, MI, Bedford
 
Canisius junior libero Bree Long recorded a match-high 31 digs in the Golden Griffins' 3-1 win over Niagara on Nov. 4, her fourth career match with 30-plus digs. The Temperance, Mich., native also registered a season-high seven assists in the Canisius victory, the team's third-straight win over Niagara dating back to last season.
 
Rookie of the Week
Mikayla Haut, Fairfield
Fr., Monroe, MI, St. Mary's Catholic Central
 
Mikayla Haut hit a scorching .516 in a 2-0 week for the Stags, averaging 3.00 kills per set on the outside. She added seven blocks and three digs in her six sets of action.
