The Monmouth women's basketball team fell to No. 23 Oregon State, 72-58, on Friday night at OceanFirst Bank Center. Despite trailing by 19 at the half, the Hawks came into the third quarter red hot. Monmouth began the third frame shooting 7-of-10 from the field and 3-of-4 from long range to pull within six, 45-39, following a 17-4 run. Stella Clark and Jen Louro combined for 11 of the Hawks' points during the run. Louro led all Monmouth scorers with 15 points to pair with six rebounds. Clark chipped in with 12 and added nine assists and four rebounds to her stat line, while Belle Kranbuhl put up 12 in the scoring column to go along with five boards with Jania Hall added seven points of her own. The Hawks next contest is at Iona on Saturday, December 18 at 1 pm.
