EDISON, NJ (December 15, 2021) – Rider’s Victoria Toomey and Manhattan’s David Lozipone have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

David Lozipone is off to a great start in his senior season for the Jaspers. Lozipone placed second in the men's 300M run with a time of 8.43.32 at the 2021 Bill Ward Invitational. Lozipone also finished 27th in the ECAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 26.18.05. Earlier this season, Lozipone helped the Jaspers capture a first-place win at the Metropolitan Championships with a time of 28.20.07 taking 18th place individually. Lozipone contributed to the Jasper's fourth-place finish at the MAAC 2021 Cross Country Championships, placing 40th with a time of 28.06.01.

A two-year starter, Toomey has started all 30 of her games played over the last two seasons for the Broncs. She’s blocked 50 shots in that time frame, while averaging 6.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. She’s also achieved in the classroom, posting a team-best 3.82 grade-point average as a marketing and sports management double major.
