The Saint Peter’s University women’s basketball team edged Niagara University on the road, 68-64 in the conference play opener at the Gallagher Center in Lewiston, NY. Saint Peter’s’ Kassondra Brown scored a game-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds on 9-of-14 from the field in just 26 minutes of play. Courtney Krane added 15 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while Kendrea Williams contributed 12 points and four steals. For the Purple Eagles, Sydney Faulcon recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kyra Grimshaw, Angel Parker and Maddy Yelle each contributed double figures for the Purple Eagles.
