Canisius men’s basketball earned a 97-90 overtime victory over FGCU in non-league action Wednesday night at the Koessler Athletic Center, its first overtime win since the 2018-19 campaign. All five Golden Griffin starters posted double-digits in scoring led by Scott Hitchon’s first career double-double with a season-high 28 points to go with a career best 11 rebounds. Jordan Henderson chipped in a season-high 19 points, Xzavier Long was good for 16 points, Ahamadou Fofana added 13 points and Armon Harried scored 10 points.

The Marist men's basketball team closed out non-conference play with a 68-45 win against Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday night at McCann Arena. Samkelo Cele led all scorers with a game-high 18 points. Jao Ituka followed with 13 points and Matt Herasme tallied 10 points in the win. Marist's 18 points allowed in the first half, 45 points allowed for the game, and .213 field goal percentage were all season-best marks.

Monmouth men's basketball comeback efforts came up short, falling to Hofstra, 77-71, in West Long Branch. The Hawks trailed by 12 at intermission and by as many as 18 in the second half before cutting the deficit to just four points late in the contest. Walker Miller posted a career-best 26 points while Shavar Reynolds scored 16 points and Marcus McClary notched his fourth career double-double by way of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
