George Papas led Monmouth to a 2-0 sweep of the Western New York trip, with the Hawks topping Niagara and Canisius to start 2-0 in the MAAC. The guard averaged 16.5 points and nine rebounds while shooting 57.9% and 42.9 from three. He dished out six assists and posted his first career double-double against the Griffs.
Rookie of the Week
Jao Ituka, Marist

Jao Ituka averaged 13.0 points while shooting .556 (10-for-18) from the field and .857 (6-for-7) from the free-throw line while averaging just over 14 minutes per game. Against Iona on Wednesday, Dec. 1, Ituka led Marist with 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 FT) while adding two assists and one steal in 19 minutes. In Marist's win at Rider on Dec. 5, he had seven points, two rebounds, and a blocked shot in just under 10 minutes.
